Podcast Bio – Meegan Kriley-Mackay
Meegan Kriley-Mackay is a former Human Intelligence Specialist and Certified Interrogator with the U.S. Department of Defense who now helps leaders and communities understand the “Human Program”, the survival wiring that shapes how we think, defend, belong, and tell the truth.
Trained to question others under pressure, Meegan realized the hardest part of her work was interrogating her own assumptions. A pivotal experience during interrogation training forced her to confront who she was when comfort and certainty were stripped away, and whether she would protect identity or live in alignment with her deeper truth.
Today, she brings that lived experience into conversations about courage, identity, echo chambers, and the psychology of belonging. Through her 5 WHYs of Soft Interrogation framework, she teaches that people don’t resist truth because they’re dishonest, they resist it because they don’t feel safe.
Meegan’s work sits at the intersection of neuroscience, leadership, democracy, and human connection, challenging us to regulate the alarm, expand perspective, and tell the truth without self-betrayal.
